As part of the new federal requirements, the City of Waconia has completed and submitted the results of the water system service line material inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). To complete the inventory, the City utilized existing public utility records, county property records, and property owner/staff onsite identification. As of October 2024, the City has identified 66 lead or galvanized water service lines, 729 of unknown material, and 9,889 of non-lead water service lines.
