Spring Road Weight Restrictions
The City of Waconia follows the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s (MnDOT) schedule for imposing and removing spring road weight limit restrictions. This requires large trucks to reduce the weight to five-ton per axle on the City of Waconia roadways. The City of Waconia does not issue permits for overweight vehicles during the spring load restriction period.

*Exceptions to the seasonal load limits in the City of Waconia are made for emergency response vehicles, school buses, and emergency utility repair vehicles/equipment. . Additional exceptions are those under another agency's jurisdiction and a few nine-ton roads outlined in the City of Waconia's Spring Load Restriction Map.
